FAQ's: Hot Mis Asphalt Residential
Q. What are some of the advantages of asphalt for a residential driveway? A. Asphalt is generally less expensive than concrete, brick pavers, or other hand-laid concrete products, yet provides a smooth and durable surface that will last for years. Q. Is asphalt maintenance free? A. No. As with most products, some degree of maintenance will be required. For asphalt driveways and parking lots, a pavement sealer should be applied every two to five years, depending on the climate, wear patterns, and the like. Q. What needs to be done before my driveway can be surfaced with asphalt? A. Generally, as with concrete or other products, a solid base needs to be constructed to support the asphalt.
